KING DIAMOND Is Still Looking For 'Melissa' Skull

KING DIAMOND has dismissed as false a newly published report claiming that the "Melissa" skull, which he once owned, was returned to him last week by members of the American Nihilist Underground Society — an organization known for its "extensive and elitist Dark Legions metal archives."

The Anus.com web site reported this past weekend that the skull — which often accompanied King Diamond on shows and inspired multiple MERCYFUL FATE and KING DIAMOND songs; one of which was chosen as the title for MERCYFUL FATE's debut album — was recovered by the ANUS member calling himself "Penisbird", who then proceeded to return it to its rightful owner.

Responding to a request for confirmation, a representative for King Diamond's record label, Metal Blade Records, told BLABBERMOUTH.NET, "I just got off the phone with King and he said that it is true that the skull was stolen but he has not seen nor heard anything about the skull being returned to him."
